Hotel Imperial: A Pop Up Exhibition

In a deserted hotel in the center of Tel Aviv, 50 artists take over 37 rooms and transform the space into a fantastic wonderland. Currated by Yaara Zachs, 2023.

I was commissioned to create the promotional image for Wonderland, a pop-up exhibition held in the abandoned Imperial Hotel in Tel Aviv. The exhibition aimed to bring a sense of surrealism and playfulness to the deserted space, transforming it into a whimsical world where reality and fantasy collide. For the image, I designed a colorful, vibrant collage that combined elements of the hotel's distinctive architecture with a series of unexpected images bursting out from the building. The concept was to visually express the idea of an "unreal" space — where the boundaries of the ordinary are shattered, and anything can happen. The surreal, almost dreamlike quality of the collage reflected the spirit of the exhibition, drawing viewers into a world where imagination and creativity run wild.
