Cover art for Moznaim Litterary Magazine
I was commissioned to create the cover illustration for Moznaim, a literary magazine, with the theme "The Most Expensive City in the World." The challenge was to visually interpret this concept in a way that captured both the literal and symbolic aspects of urban luxury, excess, and the power dynamics within a global city.
For the cover, I created a collage that centered around a playful reinterpretation of one of the city’s most iconic landmarks—Menashe Kadishman's famous sculpture, Uprise. By reimagining this work, I wanted to evoke a sense of tension between the elevated status of the city and the often surreal nature of its economic landscape. The collage integrated elements of city life, wealth, and inequality, all while referencing Kadishman's powerful visual language.
